Darris "Pooh" Hicks Jr., 23, was charged with armed kidnapping and aggravated battery. The 21-year-old victim was not injured. Sheriff's Office investigators and the U.S. Marshal's Service tracked Hicks to his uncle's home Tuesday, where he was arrested as he sat on the porch, said Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella. Hicks is accused of helping to kidnap a man at gunpoint on Feb. 14. The victim told detectives he was abducted at 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of Hammondville Road by two masked men who forced him into his own vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said. He was bound and gagged with duct tape, hit with a gun, and had gas poured on him, authorities said. The kidnappers also threatened to kill him, Moschella said. Hicks and the other kidnapper used the victim's cell phone to call the man's father and demand $50,000, Moschella said. However, the father recognized Hick's voice.
